Tishreen University

This university is located in the city of Latakia on the Syrian coast, and is one of the prestigious universities, the Syrian government in addition to being a huge scientific edifice includes nearly seventy thousand students spread over a twenty-three colleges and institutes of higher specialist.
University dates back to October the seventies, as created in 1971 and known as the University of Latakia and they contain only three faculties: Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Science, College of Agriculture and included 983 male and female students only. The name was changed later to the University to the University, October 1975, named after the country's victory in the October war of liberation.
